馬來西亞新山人，自由文字工作者。
曾獲全國嘉應散文獎、台灣時報文學獎、海鷗文學獎、香港靑年文學獎、馬華兒童小說創作獎、新加坡方修文學獎等。
著有長篇小說《海峽邊城》、散文集《啃日子》、兒童小說《從月亮來的神秘客》《當我變得小小的》《我有許願火柴！》等。
患紅斑狼瘡十多年，目前為狼瘡性腎炎，健康穩定。
內容簡介：
紅斑狼瘡（Systemic lupus erythematosus, SLE）中的「Lupus」在拉丁文的意思是狼，舊時人們以為病患是被狼咬傷所致。
實際上，紅斑狼瘡是一種自體免疫性疾病，目前醫學上查無原因，但自身的抗體會攻擊所有器官，嚴重者則命危。
方肯是文字創作者，也是紅斑狼瘡患者，曾患溶血症、甲狀腺亢進、帶狀皰疹（生蛇）、血管炎、類風濕關節炎、腎炎等。
本書記錄了她患病十多年來的歷程，有血有淚，還有自嘲，如今看來已雲淡風輕。
希望本書能給病友希望，也讓家屬得到安慰。
