Star M NO12 Lock Installation Kit includes 2-1/8 (54mm) cup type Hole Saw for larger lockset hole and 7/8 (22mm) Auger Bit for latch hole.

Precise boring for door is assured with four edged Hole Saw with an Auger Bit for pilot hole.

Instructions:

Before using this kit, you need an electric drill, screw driver, chisel and hammer for the job.

{C}1) Use the template in your lock kit to mark knob center and center of door edge. If no template is provided, mark centers using dimensions shown in lock fixing manuals.

{C}2) For large lockset hole, use hole saw and drill halfway through the door using pilot drill in the center. Then finish drilling through from the other side of the door using pilot hole as a guide.

{C}3) Drill latch hole 7/8 (22mm) past lockset hole using the wood auger bit.

{C}4) Mark around edge by inserting latch and chisel out marked area so latch plate can be flush with doors edge. Attach the latch and install the door knob.

{C}5) Set strike plate in place.
