This slim, low-profile design not only looks good, but also protects the rear derailleur from damage in the event of a fall.

For optimal switching performance with all Shimano cassettes, 2 versions of the rear derailleur have been developed. The R7000-SS variant is suitable for cassettes with a maximum sprocket up to 30 teeth, while the R7000-GS version works for cassettes with up to 34 teeth.
