Wheat germ is the HEART of wheat berry. It has a delicious and nutty flavor. It contains many essential nutrients and is a good source of B vitamins such as folate, niacin, thiamin and vitamin B6.

Wheat germ contains phytosterols which have been known to lower cholesterol and promote heart health. It contains high amount of vitamin E, an antioxidant that helps protect the body from damaging free radicals. Wheat germ is also a good source of Omega-3 fatty acids and fiber and helps to improve bowel function. It is cholesterol and trans fat free. No hexane solvent is use in the nutrients like vitamin E & wheat germ oil are intact. Because of its high oil content, wheat germ can turn rancid if not stored properly. Add to cerals, yogurt, beverages, baking breads & pastries. Keep refrigerated or frozen.
