Purun Grass (Fimbristylis umbellaris) or also called Purun Danau is a type of grass that lives in the swamp, including tribal members Cyperaceae. This plant produces woven material, so, it is cultivated in some areas.

In Indonesia, especially in Ambarawa, Middle Jawa, there are lots of these types of plants growing around swamps and commonly used by a local craftsman to be cultivated into a variety of crafts.
