Our Maca powder comes from 100% organic Maca roots grown high in the Peruvian Andes. Known by its scientific name, Lepidium meyenii, Maca is a type of cruciferous-root vegetable native to the Andes of Peru. It has been cultivated for thousands of years and used by indigenous people to boost their energy level. Black Maca comes from light to dark grey skin coloured Maca roots, the rarest of all Maca and has rich contents of phytonutrients, essential amino acids, essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals.
