Dosage/Direction for Use
Treatment:1 cap 3 times daily (milk thistle fruit extract equivalent to silymarin 420 mg).Maintenance Dose:1 cap 2 times daily (milk thistle fruit extract equivalent to silymarin 280 mg) is sufficient.Administration:The capsules should be taken whole with some liquid before meals.
Overdosage
In the event of an overdose, the mild laxative effect may occur to a greater extent. In this case, consult a physician for symptomatic measures.
Contraindications
Use in children:There have been no adequate investigations on the use of Legalon in children. It should, therefore, not be used in children <12 years.
Use In Pregnancy & Lactation
No experience is available with regard to the use of Legalon during pregnancy and lactation. Therefore, it should only be used after consultation with a doctor.
Side Effects
A mild laxative effect has occasionally been observed.
