A member of the hibiscus family. Produces bright red calyces which is widely used to make jams or juice. It's is known to be anti-hypertensive and rich in natural antioxidants such as vitamin C.

The leaves is also high in fibre and are widely used in some community as vegetables eaten raw, stir fried or in soups.

This plant is so easy to grow, just make sure it receives adequate amount of water and fertilize once a week. It will mature and produce flower in about 6 months. It will continue to produce for years as long as it is taken care of.
