Health Paradise Premium Grade Kombu is harvested from the northern sea off the island of hokkaido whereby the further north it grows, the better the quality. Our Kombu are excellent added to beans when cooking as the minerals help to balance the protein in them and increase digestibility and also soften and break down tough fibers in beans.
Usage: Soak 10g HPO Kombu and 5 pcs dried shitake for 30 mins. Bring the water to boil and remove the kombu and shitake just before boiling. Use the brothfor various Japanese dishes such as miso soups, broth for noodles.
