The Folk Tunes of Malaysia for Violin (Beginners) combines the folk tunes of the various cultural groups in Malaysia with Ivan Galamians principles of learning the violin. It consists of 15 Malaysian tunes carefully chosen and arranged for violin and piano. This violin book is one of the first books that explores the colourful folk tunes loved by Malaysian. Short stories and simple illustrations enhance the violin players knowledge, interest and appreciation of the rich multicultural heritage of Malaysia. It is hoped that the beautiful and vibrant folk songs in this book will motivate violin beginners to continue mastering the techniques of the violin and explore knowledge on Malaysias rich multicultural heritage.
