內容簡介：
《馬來西亞發展論壇》是一本收納學術及深度評論的學刊。創刊的初衷是推動馬來西亞研究，希望能拋磚引玉，促進學界及知識界持續關注馬來西亞現當代政經文教的發展。2016年《論壇》首期由南大基金會委任，中國福建社會科學院華僑華人研究所林勇博士擔任主編，負責組稿。為了要永續經營《論壇》，南大基金會決定和新紀元大學學院合作，交由新紀元的研究團隊負責規劃《論壇》的組稿及出版事項。所以，《論壇》2019年號，由南大基金會及新紀元大學學院聯合出版。
《論壇》2019年號收錄了9篇文章，每一篇都是資料翔實、論述深入的文章。教育及女性的課題在這一期占了比較多的篇幅。陳耀泉博士在英語學界耕耘華文教育議題多年，學術成果豐厚，《論壇》特別征得陳博士的英文專文論述各源流小學裡民主化及平等的議題。在中文學術著述中，有關馬來西亞女性課題的書寫不多。本期除了有范若蘭教授對馬來西亞婦女非政府組織的專論外，也收錄了兩篇國際學術會議中有關馬來西亞女性研究論壇發言的整理。學者專家及社運人士的研究及現身說法，開拓了我們對當代馬來西亞女性研究議題的廣度。
大家在談論馬中關係及一帶一路研究，大多談外交、經貿、華商的角色、文化及教育課題，甚少關注一帶一路與伊斯蘭的關係。《論壇》收錄了丘偉榮博士撰寫回民在馬來西亞的研究，加深了我們對馬中兩國之間有關回族移民與馬來人社會的融合及清真商機的認識。這一點對馬來西亞已經形成頗具規模的伊斯蘭經濟（Islamic economic）尤其重要，也值得華人社會借鑒。
