潘綏銘
1950年出生，北京人。曾任中國人民大學教授、博士生導師和該校性社會學研究所所長。從1985年開始，他在中國創立並推廣性社會學，奠定了其基本理論框架；創立了該學科的基本概念：初級生活圈、全性（sexuality）、性革命、性化、親密消費、性風采、性福、無性婚姻、性的人權道德等，以及「有性無別」的新型多元性別理念，被同仁稱為「性學教父」。
內容簡介：
本書是作者的學術研究回顧，以他從1981年開始的經歷與心路為線索，詳細介紹了性社會學在中國的發展過程及取得的成果。其縱向描述，以作者投入某項研究的年頭為序（他幾乎全都是第一個投入該研究的）；橫向描述，則以性社會學所涉及的各個方面為線索（作者幾乎涉及一切方面）。也就是說，通過作者一個人的經歷，反映出了中國性社會學這個學科的發展脈絡和全貌。
