周芬伶
屏東人，政大中文系畢業，東海大學中文研究所碩士，現任教於東海大學中文系。以散文集《花房之歌》榮獲中山文藝獎，《蘭花辭》榮獲首屆台灣文學獎散文金典獎。《花東婦好》獲2018金鼎獎、台北國際書展大獎。作品有散文、小說、文論多種。近著《花東婦好》、《濕地》、《北印度書簡》、《紅咖哩黃咖哩》、《龍瑛宗傳》、《散文課》、《創作課》、《美學課》等。

僻居校園一隅瓦屋，偶有雨客、花客、兒客、貓客、茶客、香客等友親學生往來其間，他們或相伴深談，或激辯質問，或停憩待一切止息，她看見他們的心，同時也望見自己，人與我既是分離的，也是一體的，每一次解離，都為了更多的理解。
在微雨與花綻之際煮茶焚香談書寫字，閑步花竹小徑，看盡人間的瘋狂、決絕與癡傻。字裡有消散的煙，流動的欲望，來去的人，至美而哀。在現實與非現實之間，捕捉「雨霖鈴，花紛飛，人漸去，香仍在」的空冷燃滅，餘情繚繞。蛇有靈，樹有情，人間有更難解的憂思蔓結，只能不斷書寫探求愛，以趨近於心靈。在她筆下，那些鬼、人、精、妖都是自然的事，唯有傾耳靠近，才能得到天語。

關於封面：
客體，與主體相對，是來去自如的流動，設計發想時便朝「流動、動態、曲線、感性」的方向思索，藉由不規則的煙繞，隱喻記憶的往復，而每一位書中的「客」，都代表一個個鮮明生動的故事，故以明亮的色彩營造渲染的效果，烙燙一層透明薄霧，襯托手感美術紙張的纖維觸感，內封特別採用牛皮紙張，還原素樸本心，呈現視覺上的層次感。（Akira Lai）
