謝世宗
美國耶魯大學東亞語文研究所博士，現任國立清華大學臺文所副教授，主要研究領域為臺灣戰後小說、臺灣新電影與文化研究理論，論文散見國內外中英文期刊，著有教科書《電影與視覺文化：閱讀臺灣經典電影》（臺北市：五南，2015）。目前正在撰寫侯孝賢電影研究專書。

從鄉土文學論戰的「殖民經濟論述」出發，作者重新檢視關於臺灣經濟體制的爭辯，更試圖闡釋文學如何「反映」與「回應」當時的國內外政治與經濟情境。
本書提出「經濟殖民主義」（economic colonialism）的概念，強調階級作為第三視角的必要性，以及新一波的後殖民論述乃是臺灣社會在面對新的歷史情境與全球化的挑戰時，不可或缺的思想資源。
