作者簡介：
梁金群
一九七〇年生於馬來西亞霹靂州利民加地新村。一九九〇年赴台升學，一九九六年嫁作台灣媳婦。
畢業於逢甲大學中文系、中研所。曾任台中縣立港區藝術中心企劃專員、台中晨星出版社，現任台中市私立宜寧高中國文科教師。
曾獲各類短篇小說及散文創作獎項。
著有小說集《流浪老輸》及散文集《愛的教育進行式──阿金老師的帶班心情》、《熱帶女子迷航誌》。

這是一群拓荒者
在一個窮鄉僻壤的新村，
艱苦卓絕、勇敢奮鬥的動人故事。
梁金群筆下的「野村」，指的是位於霹靂州的華人新村利民加地（Liman Kati）。這個新村承載著特定歷史背景下的記憶，是許多華人的集體回憶，也是馬華文學的重要書寫題材。
輯一「野村傳奇」書寫父輩下南洋的事跡，以及那代拓荒者與大自然搏鬥的故事，也寫新村居民打獵、吃野味的「日常」。
輯二「野村人，野村事」寫新村內的眾生相，也寫割膠二三事、作者上小學的記憶、華人和馬來人的族群關係、新村內如何上廁所、拿督公的民間信仰、印度人開的雜貨店等。
輯三「野村童年」寫作者的原生家庭，父母親的故事，以及童年務農的勞動。
在台馬華作家梁金群，把她父母輩南來拓荒的事跡、童年的新村記憶，重新拼寫，讓這些口述的歷史片段成為鮮活、豐饒、生機盎然的文字。即便一些作者「不在場」的情境，也能寫出「在場」的魔幻敘事感。
