鍾曉陽
1962年12月，出生於廣州，旋即隨父母移居香港。美國安雅堡（Ann Arbor）密西根大學畢業，主修電影與電視欣賞。15歲開始寫作，以小說〈病〉獲香港第五屆青年文學獎小說初級組推薦獎。17歲那年暑假跟母親回瀋陽，不久開始寫小說〈妾住長城外〉，之後與〈停車暫借問〉、〈卻遺枕函淚〉結集為「趙寧靜的傳奇」三部曲《停車暫借問》，出版後轟動文壇，讓整個華文世界為之驚艷，獲「張愛玲的繼承者」讚譽。
參與過多部香港電影文字創作。與林夕、周耀輝等同被列為香港第五代的詞人。知名的《最愛》（張艾嘉原唱）、《是這樣的》（《阿飛正傳》片尾曲，梅艷芳主唱）。還有黃韻玲的《事情本來就是這樣》、黃耀明的《咖啡杯裏的風光》，以及《花樣年華》、《2046》故事對白編寫。
作品另有短篇小說集《流年》（1983）、《愛妻》（1986）、《哀歌》（1986）、《燃燒之後》（1992），散文與新詩合集《細說》（1983），長篇小說《遺恨傳奇》（1996），詩集《槁木死灰集》（1997）。曾停筆十年，2007年重新在香港《明報》發表散文。2014年推出全新作品《哀傷紀》，續寫了18年前，24歲時出手的神樣作《哀歌》。2018年，將唯一長篇創作《遺恨傳奇》全部翻新，更名為《遺恨》。
