1969年生，台灣大學中國文學博士，曾任教於東華大學中文系，現為中正大學台灣文學研究所教授。著有短篇小說《洗》，長篇小說《逆旅》、《初戀安妮》、《那年夏天，最寧靜的海》、《幽冥物語》；散文集《衣櫃裡的秘密旅行》、《一瞬之夢：我的中國紀行》；學術論著《大虛構時代：當代台灣文學論》、《情慾世紀末：當代台灣女性小說論》等。擅長以細膩筆觸處理情慾和女性身體自覺，為中生代重量級的小說家之一。
