祝快樂掟日子說：
書名出處來自我很喜歡的一部漫改日劇《掟上今日子的備忘錄》。劇中日文的原意可以引申為在備忘錄／手帖／筆記本裡記錄（掟上）「今天發生過的事件摘要」（今日子）。
掟上今日子同時也是劇中主角的名字。這部劇的主角是個女偵探，她因為意外傷及腦部，失去了連續記憶的能力，每天醒來就像硬盤重新格式化一樣所有記憶全被清空，每一天都像重新來過的一天。
為了向明天醒來就遺忘一切的自己傳話，她隨時都在摘記重要的事情，有時甚至用馬克筆寫在自己的身體上。為了留住，就得把東西掟下來，遂而掟成了一種指認的儀式，通過文字與世界產生連結的儀式。
而它在廣東話裡還有「拋擲」、「亂丟」的意思，於是在我，「掟日子」就有了拋灑光陰、砸向時日的歧義。
