余秀華
一九七六年生，湖北鐘祥市石牌鎮橫店村村民，因出生時倒產、缺氧造成腦癱，因此行動不便，高中畢業後賦閒在家。一九九八年開始寫詩，《詩刊》編輯劉年在她的博客上發現她的詩，驚豔她的詩中深刻的生命體驗，於二○一四年第九期刊發了她的詩，之後《詩刊》微信號又從中選發了幾首。農民，殘疾人，詩人，三種身分引爆了大眾對她的熱議，然而她卻對自己的出名感到意外，在博客中說自己的身分順序是女人、農民、詩人。「我希望我寫出的詩歌只是余秀華的，而不是腦癱者余秀華，或者農民余秀華的。」

余秀華的生命詩歌───永恆不變的愛情、親情及生活感悟
什麼是詩歌？怎麼寫詩？余秀華說：「我從來不想詩歌應該寫什麼，怎麼寫。當我為個人的生活著急的時候，我不會關心國家，關心人類。當我某個時候寫到這些內容的時候，那一定是它們觸動了，溫暖了我，或者讓我真正傷心了，擔心了。」
一直深信，一個人在天地間，與一些事情產生密切的聯繫，再產生深沉的愛，以至到無法割捨，這就是一種宿命。比如我，在詩歌裡愛著，痛著，追逐著，喜悅著，也有許多許多失落——詩歌把我生命所有的情緒都聯繫起來了，再沒有任何一件事情讓我如此付出，堅持，感恩，期待，所以我感謝詩歌能來到我的生命，呈現我，也隱匿我。
余秀華大多數的詩歌裡，無論愛情還是物質生活都處於貧乏狀態的現實的直面與近乎殘酷的搏鬥，〈我養的狗，叫小巫〉是典型例子。在這直面與搏鬥之中，不時有明媚的陽光一閃而過，有生命力旺盛的野花瘋長，我們和詩人一起驚訝並讚歎，不代表我們就自欺地否認苦難的存在。
從她一次次與她的困境的交涉斟酌及拉扯糾纏中，她漸漸找到了一個自在的位置去嘗試理解命運。在她的敞開中，我們能窺見在相對極端狀態下，命運所流露的兩極：肉體的束縛與精神的放浪。
殘疾帶給她的不應該是同情的加分，而是作為一個詩人對存在更深刻的體驗，這轉化成了她天賦的一部分。
余秀華的詩裡充滿斬釘截鐵的判斷式抒情，看得出其反抗的迫切性、證明自己的迫切性，有時不惜犧牲語言的繁復多姿，卻獲得直爽淋漓的魅力。
