1973年於KIDDY LAND八重洲店開啟書店店員生涯。76年進入西武百貨書籍販售部門（之後的LIBRO），歷經船橋、澀谷各店，曾任池袋店店長。後為淳久堂池袋本店副店長，現雖為兼職但仍任副店長一職。著有《書店魂》（筑摩書房，台灣由序曲文化出版）、《書店繁盛記》（Poplar文庫）等。
