韓俐穎（Kirsten Han）
新加坡獨立記者及公民運動者。二○二二年起擔任《湄公河評論》（Mekong Review）季刊主編，這是一本專注於亞洲的文學雜誌。她經營《我們公民》（We, The Citizens）和《改變現狀》（Altering States）兩份新聞通訊，撰寫關於新加坡政治、人權、公民社會和毒品政策的文章。她的文字曾刊登於《紐約時報》、《華盛頓郵報》、《衛報》、《外交政策》等多家媒體。二○一八年獲得世界正義工程（World Justice Project）協會的傑出法治新聞獎提名，二○一九年獲得人權新聞獎。韓俐穎也是變革正義公社（Transformative Justice Collective）的成員，致力於廢除死刑和終結新加坡的反毒戰爭。她是三隻貓的媽媽，擁有五到十五個K-pop絨毛玩具。

本書作者韓俐穎從小也是這樣相信的，直到她開始幫忙上街採訪敏感議題。她逐漸碰觸到新加坡政府權力設下的種種阻礙，不能隨意上街抗議表達訴求僅是其一，即便只有一個人就可以構成非法集會。若是執意發聲談論某些事情，政府有許多手段能磨耗你的身心和生計，像是伸縮自如的「藐視法庭」指控，有些人甚至不得已而離開新加坡。
