國立中央大學歷史研究所碩士、國立清華大學人類學博士班課程修畢。
現任國立中央大學客家學院助理研究員。
著有《臺灣民間信仰「孤娘」的奉祀：一個社會史的考察》、《立法院院長孫科傳記》（與賴澤涵合著），並於《民俗曲藝》、《臺灣文獻》、《民族學研究所資料彙編》等刊物發表論文。

本書共收錄八篇文章，為作者過去曾發表於有審查機制的期刊或專書論文。本書主要自女性或性別視角切入，並藉由大量的田野調查工作所完成的研究成果，除頭尾兩篇為大陸閩西風俗，其餘皆為臺灣的信仰或風俗。文章排序由生自死，內容包括寧化的「接珠」儀式、埔里育化堂女鸞的宗教生活、1950年代的「張玉姑顯靈」事件、鹿港的「送肉粽」去煞儀式、臺灣北（平鎮）中（埔里）南（美濃）的「傳統」公墓文化，以及上杭古坊村的「二次葬」風俗等。
