郝譽翔
國立臺灣大學中國文學博士，現任臺北教育大學語創系教授，熱愛旅行、潛水和帆船，並且多次將旅行、海洋和島嶼等化成為個人創作的主題。曾獲得金鼎獎、中國時報開卷年度好書獎、時報文學獎、台北文學獎及新聞局優良電影劇本獎等重要獎項。

「北投」之名源自於平埔族語ki-pataw，「女巫」的意思。如同巫者的形象，此處終年飄散山嵐和硫磺煙霧，淡水河流經、座落關渡平原、觀音山腳下，這片陸地送來海洋鹹濕的氣息，莽莽養育著一股野性的召喚。
郝譽翔以散文書寫年幼自高雄北上搬遷至北投的經驗，在上個世紀末，那非典型的台北邊陲小城，沒有資本主義現代文明，反倒像是大自然的野性搖籃，讓郝譽翔成長於斯，患夢於此。她乘坐北淡線列車晃遊，著迷坂本龍一的追星時刻，沒有明天般地夜騎於深夜的陽金公路……她的桀驁與不馴，彷若是特異地域生養的狂奔一人。
她因著這股「野」，在大學青年的九〇年代，經歷解嚴後的台灣、野百合學運的動盪時光，觀看街頭運動如嘉年華般狂癲，股票上萬點眾人的浮動與狂躁，彷彿是過於漫長的夏日激情，把所有人推到時代的浪尖……她想要逃，離開憂鬱的母親，恐怖的情人，決裂的閨密……逃到美國沙漠小鎮，最終在三十歲落腳島嶼東部。北投已然從生命中消失了，但山與海卻仍以另外一種形式出現在花蓮，她告別青春。
二十多年後，郝譽翔以文字永恆捕捉那些鬱動而光燦的瞬間，巫女般喚起那段神魔的城北歲月。
