本名戚慧貞，山東莒縣人，供職於山東中醫藥大學第二附屬醫院。業餘時間進行文學創作。主寫小說，偶寫散文詩歌。中國作家協會會員。山東省簽約作家。2004年始在《人民文學》、《中國作家》、《十月》等報刊雜誌發表作品，創作長篇〈好日子就要來了〉及中短篇小說若干。作品曾被《新華文摘》、《小說月報》、《北京文學‧中篇小說月報》、《小說選刊》、《作家文摘》、《作品與爭鳴》、《中篇小說選刊》等及多家年度選本選載。出版中篇小說集《天涯近》、《被複習的愛情》、《白貓》。作品曾入選中國小說學會年度排行榜、名家推薦中國原創小說年度排行榜。曾榮獲人民文學獎、中國作家新人獎、山東文學優秀作品獎、山東省第二屆泰山文藝獎、北京文學‧中篇小說月報獎、魯迅文學獎提名等獎項。

李守志是一個高興就想哼歌的人。要去省城打工了，李守志在去縣城坐車的山道上，哼唱著──我在馬路邊撿到一分錢。他老婆朱桂芹說，整天哼哼哼哼的，跟牙疼似的，咋不放開嗓子眼唱呀？李守志知道朱桂芹是故意引逗他，就說，妳以為我嗓子眼是隨便放的？關鍵的時候才放一下。李守志的話，跟蜜一樣抹在朱桂芹的心上──她知道李守志僅有的兩次放開嗓子眼都是因為她。

她看著那個無法伸展成葉片的芽苞，那樹林一樣擁擠著拼命消散自身的顏色博取別人一聲喝彩的短暫，想到那其實就是一個個生活裡的女人，在人生的舞台上沒有兩隻水袖的女人。或許水袖是有兩隻的，但舞動的只能是一隻。另一隻必須是緊握著的，是永遠不能順應生命和情感的需要拋撒舞動的。
