二〇一七年底，作者通過德國「羅伯特．博世」基金會「無界行者」旅行寫書計畫，往來於慕尼黑、柏林、穆爾瑙，研究關於德國表現主義「藍騎士畫派」女畫家加布里．蒙特（Gabriele Münter, 1877-1962）主題。
加布里．蒙特，二十世紀初德國表現主義畫家，站在慕尼黑前衛藝術的前緣，是俄國畫家康丁斯基唯一入門女弟子，和情人，有人說她的光芒終為他所掩蓋，最後一對相知、相愛的藝術家情侶，甚至也演變成背叛與「成全」的故事。
百年前女性受困的時代，身為女性畫家究竟如何堅持又勇敢的追求自己的藝術、生活、和愛情？百年後，同為女性畫家的作者，透過旅行計畫，在女畫家生活過的城市，看她也許看過的，聽她也許聽過的，模擬她的畫，速寫、畫下這些經歷，和相隔百年的她對話女性創作的心路和心事，以及愛。或許她就是自己的前世，也或許依然附身在自己身上，還要繼續訴說、繼續創作、繼續留下美好的作品，和故事。
