臺大社工畢業，曾待過靈骨塔、美術館、製片公司等五花八門的機構，也做過馬戲團專案助理、社工員、中學教師、刊物編輯、配音員等千奇百怪的職務，似乎永遠都在不務正業。
舉辦過數次個人畫展及亞太女畫家聯展，著有繪本《我的32個臉孔》、《夏綠蒂的愛情習題》。歷年來得過拍臺北劇本首獎、十大傑出女青年獎、臺北國際書展十大繪本、全球華文部落格大獎、臺北美展、打狗文學獎、竹塹文學獎……等各種劇本、美術、文學等獎項。
《候鳥來的季節》是她的原創劇本，也是她第一次執導電影長片。片中那些畫風奇特的油畫與母女圖，都是她自己的作品。這部電影描繪著家人之間的愛與犧牲，呈現了兄弟間那種說不出口的親情，劇情感人肺腑，不但獲得「優良劇本獎」的肯定，也入圍了「臺北電影節」最佳劇情片。
