　　This book centers on the development of China-India relations in the first half of the 20th century, and aims to revisit this period of history from multi perspectives. It is a collection of papers contributed by eminent authors from Taiwan and India, and the first initiative of this kind. The issues discussed include: (I) the environment of international politics, (II) military and diplomacy, (III) social and cultural exchanges. By indentifying their significance and relevance, this book offers insights for readers and provided them with a greater understanding of this amazing time undergoing drastic changes.

作者簡介



謝小芩

　　現任國立清華大學教授兼學生事務長。畢業於國立臺灣大學哲學系學士，其後獲得美國南伊利諾大學哲學碩士及威斯康辛大學麥迪遜校區教育政策博士。歷任國立清華大學通識中心主任（2000～2002）、圖書館館長（2003～2009），共同教育委員會主任委員（2009～2014）；並擔任人本教育基金會董事、女性學學會理監事等職。編有《圖像清華》、《啟蒙．.狂飆．反思：保釣運動四十年》等書。主要研究領域包括教育社會學、性別與教育、教育政策研究、高等教育研究等。

方天賜

　　國立清華大學通識教育中心及社會學研究所合聘助理教授。國立政治大學外交系學士、碩士及倫敦政治經濟學院（London School of Economics and Political Science）國際關係博士。曾任外交部亞東太平洋司科員（1996～1998）、遠景基金會助理研究員（2004～2005）、中華民國駐印度代表處科技組秘書（2005～2011）等職。研究興趣為印度外交、臺印關係、中印關係等。主要著作為The Asymmetrical Threat Perceptions in China-India Relations等。
