藝術領域教學者、藝術文化評論者、客座策展人。
曾任教於美國紐澤西蒙克爾州立大學、台灣東海大學美術研究所、香港浸會大學、高雄國立師範大學跨領域研究所、國立台南藝術大學藝術創作理論研究所博士班、國立台灣藝術大學雕塑研究所。

管窺與丈量藝評的跨際語言、生產文化與其傳播社會
本書是作者繼已出版的《詮釋之外───藝評社會與近當代前衛運動》之後，對當代藝評課題的再申論。以「元藝評」（Meta-art criticism）的概念，視「藝評研究」為藝評的本體，叩問何謂藝評與其範疇，期能從藝評語言的生產過程及其生態，管窺與丈量藝評語境、美學生產，進而勾勒出藝術社會中的語言與文化機制。
「何謂藝評」在今日藝術生產機制已形成一個巨大系統，並成為一個開放的議題，其服務性與自主性、後設性與前衛性，不斷被爭論中。本書選擇以辯證、答客問、筆記的方式揭示藝評生產過程中的內部與外部議題。透過藝評語言、書寫意識、知識使用、主客體、倒錯情結、關鍵詞、語料庫、衍生替代詞、引述、共述、引文、轉譯、纂位等語言使用模式，試圖陳述藝評書寫的特殊性，並且重新爬梳藝評在感性與理性上的思維系統。同時也試圖透過當代藝評處境，提供一些美學判斷、語言使用、品味傳播的叩問與思考。
本書除了重新對藝評的認知提出申論，也期望能彌補一塊有關文化生產線上，曾遺失或忽略的藝術版塊。
