First among the grits included in the kit is an extra-fine diamond (9 micron / 1200 mesh) for polishing and refining a razor edge after sharpening with a coarser diamond, followed by a fine diamond (25 micron / 600 mesh) for initially honing a razor sharp edge. Third and finally is the coarse diamond (45 micron / 325 mesh) for quickly restoring a neglected edge.

Each stone is also conveniently sized at 6" x 2" x 3/4", with the hardwood box coming in at 7.75" x 7.25" x 1.25". The box also includes rubber feet for secure placement on countertops, workbenches, and many other flat surfaces.

Thanks to the micronized monocrystalline diamond surface of each Diamond Whetstone as well, you can sharpen edges faster and easier than conventional stones can. No messy oils are needed either, allowing you to sharpen dry or with water.
