Canesten Cream is an antifungal medication used to treat skin infections caused by a fungus (yeast). Fungi are small organisms that are present in our surroundings such as air, soil, plants and water. Some live in the human body and are responsible for causing infections. Fungal infections may cause redness, itching, and blisters on the skin.

Canesten Cream is used to treat athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, nappy rash and vaginal thrush caused by fungus.

Canesten Cream may rarely cause burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the application site. These symptoms last only for a very few days and disappear with time.

Do not use this cream if you are previously allergic to it.

Apply a thin film of the Canesten Cream to the affected area 1-2 times a day. Wash and dry the affected area before application. Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, mouth, mucous membranes, wounds, or broken skin. Keep the affected area clean and dry because the presence of water can increase fungal growth.
