The HMC830 is a low-noise, wideband phase-locked loop (PLL), integrated voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) with a fundamental frequency ranges of 1500 MHz-3000 MHz, and an integrated VCO output divider (1/ 2/4/6.../60/62 frequency division), together supporting the HMC830 to produce frequencies in the ranges of 25 MHz to 3000 MHz. The integrated phase detector (PD) and modulator can operate at frequencies up to 100 MHz, achieving a wider loop bandwidth and outstanding spectral performance.

HMC830 is a broadband phase-locked loop chip, it integrates VCO inside and the output frequency ranges is 25MHz-3GHz.
The phase discriminator frequency of the internal phase discriminator is 125MHz.
On the one hand, the high phase discriminator frequency can reduce phase noise, and on the other hand, a low-pass filter can be designed to suppress VCO noise and shorten the lock time.

The typical output power of the chip is 6dBm, and can be adjusted in 3dB step.
The chip can work in integer frequency division mode and fractional frequency division mode, and the precise frequency mode is introduced in the decimal frequency division mode, so that certain frequencies that meet specific conditions can be obtained accurately.
This PLL chip has industry-leading low phase noise and low spurs, and its typical phase noise is -110dBc/Hz.
The chip can maintain fine performance at -40 to +85.
