The WL557RT4 is a wireless hotspot gateway with one 10/100Base-T WAN port and four 10/100Base-T LAN ports. It can operate in different modes: Gateway, Bridge, WISP- Default on Gateway mode

The integrated AP complies with IEEE 802.11n standard, providing wireless transmission speeds of up to 300Mbps. Using enhanced MIMO technology, it effectively reduces the "dead spots" in the wireless area. A WPS button allows for easy wireless security configuration.

The router provides VPN pass-through for L2TP and PPTP. It features a built-in SPI firewall to protect the network against Denial of Service (DoS) attacks.
