Known by its scientific name, Lepidium meyenii, Maca is a type of cruciferous-root vegetable native to the Andes of Peru. Black Maca comes from light to dark grey skin coloured Maca roots, the rarest of all Maca and has rich contents of phytonutrients, essential amino acids, essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals.
