A traditional sweetener also known as "Gula Apong". Our Nypah Palm Treacle is made with the sap of nipa palm tree (Nypa fructicans). It's a staple of the Borneo land, abundantly grown and harvested by natives in the sunny coastal areas.

Our Nypah Palm Treacle is 100% pure and unrefined. It is a natural sugar that is low in Glycemic Index(GI) and has a rich salted caramel flavour that can perfectly replace white sugar in coffee and tea. The sweet caramelised taste delivers a pleasant flavour which can be used to make kuih such as onde-onde, kuih apam, beras pulut and more. It is also perfect for cooking and baking pastries.

We harvest each bottle with traditional methods crafted over centuries by Sarawakian villagers. Our Nypah Palm Treacle is handmade with traditional techniques.
