3M™ Field Assembly SC (FA-SC) Connector 8801M provides fast, on-site installation of indoor or outdoor FRP drop cable with singlemode fiber.

The SC/UPC compatible connector consists of a factory polished ferrule assembly and a mechanical splice that is installed with a simple, field tool. The FA-SC connector uses proven 3M™ FibrlokTM Splice technology for fiber splicing.

Unique aluminum alignment element technology achieves precise alignment of the fibers for superior and stable insertion loss performance. FA-SC connectors provide excellent performance for digital transmission networks including high-speed data and digital video.

The FA-SC Connector has been deployed for premises and FTTP applications for indoor and outdoor use.
