【專輯簡介】
彼得．麥斯威爾．戴維斯爵士，是拿索斯發行最不遺餘力的英國作曲家。「史崔斯克萊」協奏曲是受蘇格蘭的史崔斯克萊地區議會及蘇格蘭室內樂團所委託，創作於譜寫於1987~96這10年間，共計譜寫十首協奏曲，是一組為了多樣獨奏樂器競奏唱和的複協奏曲型式，回歸巴哈創作布蘭登堡協奏曲時期探究樂器之美的優秀創作。第七號是一首為低音提琴所寫的協奏曲，有著緊張不安的微妙情緒；第八號則是以低音管為主奏的樂曲，作曲家安排的定音鼓起了絕佳的作用，充滿俏皮及抒情風格。補白曲「綠色玉米魔咒」是一首為慶祝蘇格蘭室內樂團成立21週年及作曲家本人60大壽而作。
