Product Introduction
＜He Yuan Liu Bao＞from Purple Cane’s own tea storage originated in Wuzhou of Guangxi Province in China. It was made of leaves from special heirloom cultivar tea bushes harvested according to the time-tested standard of tea picking -- two/three leaves and a bud, or three/four leaves and a bud. Initial processing involves fixation, rolling, pile fermentation, repeat rolling and firing. This is followed by advanced processing before the tea was packed in bamboo baskets for extended ageing over three to four years, yielding the mellow flavour unique to ＜He Yuan Liu Bao＞.
The traditional method of packaging and storage makes it conducive for the compounds in the tea to continue its transformation with the passage of time, contributing to a smooth brew with a deeper colour and a pronounced aged aroma.
After five years of extended storage with Purple Cane,＜He Yuan Liu Bao＞ is ready for release in 2021. The finished product has tightly packed dark brown leaves that are stout with a natural sheen. They give a clear, coppery red infusion that is rich and well-rounded in taste.
