台大中文所博士，清大中文系助理教授。著有詩集《屏息的文明》、《你的聲音充滿時間》、《少女維特》、《金烏》，散文集《海風野火花》、《雲和》、《瑪德蓮》，編有《臺灣成長小說選》，合編有《青春無敵早點詩：中學生新詩選》、《靈魂的領地：國民散文讀本》、《港澳台八十後詩人選集》。
內容簡介：
十年，可以改變很多事，不變的是詩人對至美的強烈傾慕。楊佳嫻說：「傷害並不是全部都可以變成詩，寫成詩的，也不表示都過去了，都昇華了。詩是我最珍貴，不值得愛的不值得寫成詩。可是一旦寫了，永不後悔。可能對愛後悔，但是不可以對詩後悔。」
《金烏》是楊佳嫻第四本詩集，全書共七十首詩作，以十年前的第一本詩集《屏息的文明》為底本，削減十首舊作，添入十七首近三年的新作。新舊混同，重新編排。
楊佳嫻在後記說：「從《屏息的文明》到《金烏》，日子過得真快，十年確實沒有想像中那麼長。可是，十年裡確實也發生了那麼多事，發黑死掉那樣的恨，直抵地心的墜落，懸空著格外感受肉身的腐重，被美欺騙，瓷器般的自尊毀裂在地時割傷的還是自己的腳。」
她以《金烏》統整全本詩作的概念並寫道：「金烏，太陽的精魂。神話裡描述是三足烏鴉，共十隻，由母親羲和御車載之，輪流值日。後來只剩下一隻了，其他全被后羿射落。……最末那隻金烏，是否因為死亡事件而震悚？牠是否仍懷著難遣的悲懷，日復一日，炙烤著我們薄脆的心？
孤獨的，最後的金烏。日復一日燦爛，夏日的逼燒，冬日的微暖。離開神話時代那麼久了，百年千年，都還不足抵牠一生一世，是否所有的時間長度在牠看來，都不過指顧之間？牠的內心或許還照顧著最初的傷痕，最熱最亮的日子裡，我就想那是傷痕裡泉湧而出的金色。」
