大學讀圖館系、後來在美念傳播藝術，多年後從東華華文所創作組畢業。任職過公關公司、有線電視與電台。有很長的一段時光繭居家中，中年開始思考創作的可能，翻譯過幾本書、得過幾個文學獎，突然一個轉念於二○一一年夏天開起了「永樂座」書店。著有《花轎、牛車、偉士牌：台灣愛情四百年》、《就這樣開了一家書店》。
