Castle Panic is a cooperative tower defense board game for 1 to 6 players. The co-op element makes Castle Panic a great family game, and the perfect kick-off for your weekly game night.
You must work together to defend your Castle, in the center of the board, from Monsters that attack out of the forest, at the edges of the board. Trade cards, hit and slay Monsters, and plan strategies together to keep your Castle towers intact.
Win or lose as a team, but only the player with the most victory points is declared the Master Slayer. Players must balance the survival of the group with their own desire to win.
What others say about this product?
“OMG... I have to play this at least once with the teens at the Game Night every month. They won't leave me alone until I do. THEY LOVE THIS GAME! It is simple to understand, almost all the basic rules are layed out on the aid cards and/or the board itself, the playing cards have fairly clear instructions on their actions/effects, and it's co-operative, so everyone is working together to win! I've never seen this much anticipation for a board game when there are video game consoles surrounding them! Teens actually drop their xbox controllers when they hear a "Castle Panic" game is being setup.”
“I bought this as a gift my husband. He loves games ( board or video ) and we have been wanting to up our collection of fun games that we can play as a family. We have five children, only the two oldest are old enough to play this with us ( they are 9 and 10 ). We all really enjoy it. The best part about this game is that you can play it alone or in a group. It is a cooperative effort to defeat the monsters. I like this because it is a great way to teach the kids how important team work is and that you can play a game together, where everyone wins or loses, and still have a lot of fun! I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys family game nights!”
“This game gets a lot of play at our house. Kids can easily play, since it is cooperative and we can just help if they don't know what to do. We often have game nights with college students at our house and they like this game also. Foreign Exchange students don't have any difficulty learning the game for the same reason that the game is easy for kids to play. We usually win, but sometimes it is close and you often feel like you might not win. There are ways to make it more difficult if you desire.”
